Big Brother House Challenge
General Info:
This challenge is very similar to the Big Brother House Show, hence the name 'Big Brother House Challenge'. 8 Random Strangers (Sims should be created as a household in CAS). If wanted, you can use a MOD to allow more than 8 Sims in the household. Like the Big Brother Show, at the end of each Sim Week the least popular person is unfortunately voted out. The last person left in the house is obviously the winner.
How?
8 Strangers (SIMS) are put into a house and left to do what they like. At the end of the 8 or 10 Sim weeks the last Sim remaining is the winner, and as a prize gets to keep the house.
Create 8 or 10 (using the mod) random Young Adults Sims with mixed Personality traits (Pre- made Sims are allowed) Ideally it should be a Female/ Male house. This means you should have 4 Men and 4 Women. If you want you can make them all look respectful for the entry of the Big Brother House.
Building
Build a Single Story house with enough beds for all Sims. If you want, I have seen it out there, you could add a double bed forcing bed sharing which will cause drama and aggravation.
Build a Functional Kitchen with the following items: Microwave, Cooker, Coffee Machine, Fridge.
Build a Large Seating Area with a Fireplace, Sofas, Coffee Tables.
Build a Dining Area with enough chairs to seat all guests.
You must have a Communal Bathroom with 3 toilets, a wash basin and 2 showers.
If you want you could have High End Quality Stuff or you could have Trashy Stuff. It is up to you as you are Big Brother in this challenge.
YOU MUST NOT PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
PC'S
Swimming Pool's
Fire Alarms
Book Cases
TV's
Burglar Alarms
Pond's
Gym Equipment
Hobby Objects
Games
You may make your house as attractive or hideous as you like.
Money Control is not a major issue; Obviously you will need enough money to furnish the house and to buy Task Equipment. If Death does occur in the house, tough luck, you cannot help or change the fact that one of the guests passes.
You may however make things more difficult for your housemates - The idea of the challenge is 'triumph through adversity' so some adverse conditions are encouraged. You may sometimes remove some facilities such as one of the showers or toilets on a temporary basis as 'punishment' for not cleaning toilets or showers. You may also disrupt sleep patterns by putting a stereo in the bedroom and switching it on. Removing one or two beds. Again 'punishment' is up to you.
Weekly Tasks -
These are optional tasks. You have to do them but you can recreate them and repeat them on a daily basis. Your only limitation your imagination. The only rule on the top of my head would have to be that there should be only 1 activity happening at any one time. Sims are forced to either join in with it and earn more points or do nothing.
Week 1 - This is an idea that I've made. It is only an example so you don't have to do it if you don't want to - Painting Task - First of all you need to Purchase enough Painting Easels for your Sims to use, regardless if they are going to do it or not. Leave in the place where you put them for 1 Sim week. Some Sims will paint, however some won't. The Sim with the most skill gain will win 10 points. If it comes to a draw between more than 2 Sims, that is Okay. They will all get the 10 points. You may remove the painting from the easel to allow a sim to continue to paint. However, they will not earn any more that 10 points if they do more paintings. You can scrap painting if a Sim wanders off from his/ her painting.
Week 2 - Athletic Task - This is an idea so you do not have to copy if you don't want to - Purchase enough Gym Equipment ( Running Machines) for all Sims to use. Leave in place for 1 sim week as before. The Sim with the most Skill Gain in Athletics wins 10 points. Same Rules as above.
Week 3 - Install a pool - Same as Athletics Task. Remove after 1 Sim Week. Scoring as usual.
Week 4 -Free Choice - Repeat one of the above tasks or invent your own. Darts, Foosball, put in a gardening plot (via buydebug) install a pond for fishing whatever you want. This week is designed to boost social skills - the sim with the best/most relationships with the other Sims wins the points. You may also install a bar for this week.
Week 5 - Music Task - Purchase any instruments that is available - Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums - Rules as follows above. The Sims at the end of that week with the Highest Skill Gain wins the 10 points that are up for grabs.
Week 6 - Eviction Week! The Sim with the lowest skill levels and the worst relationships with the rest of the housemates will be evicted/ kicked out.
Week 7 - Field Trip - Take all of the remaining Sims to the surrounding park and see what happens. At Dinner Time treat them all to a meal in a restaurant or Bar near the park or house. REMEMBER: This is a social experiment so Sims need to create the best relationships in order to stay in the Big Brother House.
Week 8 - Career Week - For this challenge you need to SEND YOUR SIMS TO WORK! Choose random career routes for each Sims (A few examples would be: cooking, Politics, Criminal, whatever you want. And see which ones shine in the spotlight of a day job. They will have to quit jobs after one Sim week.
The End - Which Sim won? The Most Popular? The best likes? That Sim Wins!
They won the House and 10,000 Simileons.
Extra Info:
If I forgot to mention this I am sorry, here it is: After each weekly task, the best person wins the 10 points and the worst gets kicked out.
After a Editors Question, 'Can you play the challenge at any speed you want to?' The answer is Yes if you want to, just be sure that all of the challenges are done.
Thanks,
Good Luck,
